DUBAI – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has launched a major promotional roadshow across Eastern Europe to expand the emirate’s global tourism reach.

Led by Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, the initiative runs from October 26 to 31, 2025, with key stops in Warsaw, Budapest and Prague.

The tour seeks to strengthen cooperation with leading tourism stakeholders, agencies and industry representatives in Europe, while showcasing Ajman’s unique blend of Emirati culture, luxury hospitality and investment potential. It also aims to highlight the emirate’s commitment to sustainable tourism and diversified source markets.

Expanding global partnerships

Alhashmi described the roadshow as a strategic milestone in expanding Ajman’s international partnerships. “This tour marks a pivotal milestone in our journey to broaden our network of international partners and open new avenues of collaboration with emerging European markets,” he said. “Guided by a clear vision, we are committed to positioning Ajman as a leading tourism destination, offering a harmonious blend of authentic Emirati heritage and modern sophistication.”

He added that ADTD’s initiatives are designed to strengthen Ajman’s global presence and enhance its appeal as a hub for premium tourism and hospitality investments.

Rising interest from Eastern Europe

The Eastern European market has become an increasingly significant source of visitors to the UAE, drawn by the region’s diverse cultural, entertainment and leisure offerings. The roadshow aims to further raise awareness of Ajman as a distinctive destination that merges traditional Emirati values with contemporary experiences, appealing to travellers seeking authenticity and comfort.

Recent figures indicate a noticeable increase in tourist arrivals from Eastern Europe to Ajman, reflected in higher hotel occupancy rates and longer stays compared to 2023 and 2024.

Driving sustainable tourism

The ADTD delegation will also explore partnership opportunities with leading tourism companies in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. These engagements are expected to support the exchange of marketing expertise, foster collaboration in destination promotion, and strengthen Ajman’s role within the UAE’s national tourism landscape.

By deepening ties with emerging European markets, the roadshow supports Ajman’s long-term vision of sustainable tourism growth, greater international visibility and enhanced economic contribution.
